Looking at this art, you are peering in on moments of life, described from the authentic subconscious. An important element is choosing to bring back the art of play with use of craft, but from a fine arts perspective. The act of creating is a key aspect, flowing with each detail that leads, connecting with the patterns and repetition. Each piece speaks for itself, displaying optimism through the boldness of line and color. However, the mundane expressions alongside the atmosphere reveal that despite exterior appearance, we are all hiding how we really feel.
I grew up in a family of creatives, always surrounded by homemade pieces. This dynamic instilled in my head that anyone can create. But I struggled with finding my own style and way of what I wanted to create. Breaking out of the box I had created in my head of what real art was supposed to look like. Finding myself through my art, making strides to put my full self and soul into what I am creating. My art growing up alongside me, being my only consistency in my life. During this I landed myself in many art shows, placing 1st, 3rd, and more. Pushing myself further, I moved to Savannah Georgia to pursue art as a painting major at SCAD. Post graduation I am going to continue mixing my love for art with my way of life. Forming a career out of it, allowing myself to live a happy colorful life.
